Garden parties are so easy to put together and the great outdoors provides fantastic ambiance. The sound of the birds and the smell of the flowers help make garden parties far more interesting, to me at least, than a cocktail party indoors. Besides, you can really have fun with tabletop colors and it is the perfect place to bring out the "quirky" items.

Napkins are a great little décor tool. They can bring in any color you want or let you celebrate any season with stitching and decoration on the napkin. Because napkins have a lot of exposure with multiple place settings it is important to color-coordinate them with the rest of your room, not just the tabletop. Strong colors, stronger than you’d normally use in your room, are also fine since the napkins are temporary and add pop to the tabletop. Unlike a paint color that is too strong for the room, napkins are perceived as fun décor and part of the celebration. Other ideas for napkins include stitched-on quotes or family sayings, prayers, or the names of family members.
