Finally finished our deck and I bought some cute seat cushions to go with my patio set and am now looking for a coordinating outdoor rug. The seat cushions are made from fabric that doesn’t fade or get ruined being outside. I’m hoping to find a rug that’s similar but am a little worried since it’ll have to handle a good amount of wear and tear too. Time to do a little research, I guess!

Time to spruce up our entryway with new area rug inside and possibly a fancy welcome mat. Blue and red hues should blend nicely with our red and blue family room area rug.

A gentle cool breeze and birds chirping. Perhaps nothing is more relaxing than a well appointed patio. An umbrella for shade and some nice carpeting to keep your feet off the hot stone. Mix yourself a nice lemonade and grab a book.

Rug styles and colors matter a lot because outdoor rugs are not common and naturally draw attention. Color coordinate with hues that work with your furniture, outdoor paint colors and patio surface colors. Styles should reflect the overall style of your home and connect the outdoors with the indoors. If you have a large area, consider two or three identical rugs that can cover seating areas. Look for durable fabrics and consider storing your rug indoors when not in use to minimize fading.
